This past weekend, I did a shoot for Kim’s Makeup Services to promote her summer/Crop Over deals. We had five lovely young models and Kim got us full access to Orchid World. I don’t think I’ve done a shoot with so many models recently. It was definitely a good reminder of how challenging it could be. Dealing with the different personalities and approaches to modeling, as well as making each model look as good as the last, while keeping the images looking fresh and unique is not an easy job. But still, fun was had by all. Especially when one brave lady decided to wade into the koi pond but realised she was way in over her head when she was confronted by a frog. Her photos still came out looking great.
As it is the Crop Over season here in Barbados, the concept was all about that. Kim got some colourful headpieces and did the makeup to match. The initial idea was to match each model to an orchid somewhere on the grounds, but somehow that never happened. I’m still happy with the result since I got to vary the style slightly with each model.
Here are my favorites, the rest are on Flickr.
