Before I get started on this post, MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! I hope it was an enjoyable one.
On Christmas eve’s eve (that’s December 23rd), on a random burst of inspiration I decided to go for a walk through the city of Bridgetown at about 1am. My goal was to take some photos of the colourful city lights while everyone was resting up for the final Christmas rush the next day. I was thinking of creating a panorama loosely based on the one found on the back of Barbados currency.
On the $5 bill above you can see the parliament buildings which include the clock tower to the left. You can also see the Chamberlain Bridge on the right. You can try comparing it to the image I took below.
They’re not really the same but hey that’s what artistic license is about! In this image you can see the same clock tower a bit to the left and parts of the parliament buildings. I also included the Treasury building on the right. I think the water reflections add a little something to the photo. The biggest challenge was that I didn’t have a tripod ಠ_ಠ I had to balance my camera on a railing and risk having it fall into the river!
But enough of my ramblings! What do you think? Is it a passable photo? Or am I deluded and this photo is crap?
